Hot damn, more pull ups. *groan* Started with heavy back squats though, finishing at 90kg. Quite happy with my squat now. Should be, after all those months of squatting while rehabing my shoulder… Then a triplet metcon from hell. Well, if he’ll is about 35 degrees with 127% humidity. The basement box in Ängelholm can’t cope with this heat. Went for 30kg, considering the OHS part, but could have gone heavier as they went really well. By the time we got to the cleans I was shot though. Score: 2 rounds + 14, 2 rounds even, 1 round + 11… Point of pride (and stupidity as it sucked the energy out of me) : kipped the first set of pull ups unbroken.  (at Crossfit)

First ever WOD in sunny Copenhagen. And when I sunny I mean sweltering. 30 degrees plus at Centralen CrossFit, which is a good looking and we’ll equipped facility in an old industrial building not far from famous Tivoli. Did well on the split jerks, which I kept light at 35kg. Due to the Danish instructions I got it wrong though and did 2 jerk followed by 3 push press, until after six minutes coach came over and explained I didn’t need to do both. Pick either and do 12 EMOM he meant. Oh well, stringer shoulders for me. The WOD was gruesome. Did 2 rounds when most seemed to do 4… Point of pride on my pull ups though, kipped them all and was told my form was really good throughout. Kudos to the fantastic coaches at CrossFit London! Now sushi and beer. Recovery meal supreme.
Oh. And just now realised I did 30 pull ups each round when I should have done 20… No wonder the others got more done! Idiot. Damn this heat. :)

Focusing on the snatch. Worked on our hang snatch a bit and then Isabel. Nice and slow, focusing on technique. Starting to get the hang of keeping the bar close. When I think it’s going to hit my chin, I’m close. Then we practiced ring rows with false grip. Pump attack immediately, fore arms so fatigued. After the session I did exercises to strengthen my lower traps, as the nice physio at NHS told me to. Band pull downs and alternating arm/leg lifts on all fours. Decided I will focus on my hand stand for skill practice the coming months, so did a couple of 30 second head stands trying to find my hollow body position. Think I’m getting there. Finished that up with a couple of sets of touching my elbows with my knees and then back to a full head stand.  (at Crossfit london)

Heavy deadlifts and a WOD of STOH and DUs. Felt good throughout, did a 2 rep DL at 105kg which is the heaviest since my shoulder issues started. Despite doing many of the STOH on the rebound I had no scapula pain. However, towards the end the front and top of my right shoulder started moaning and now it’s achy as hell. Hoping it’s just the pump from the presses and DUs and that it will subside soon. On a positive note, of the 6 rounds I did 4 of then with unbroken DUs.  (at Crossfit london)
